Ltd., successfully conducted an Awareness Session on “PPE Testing and Certification” for Association members. The session was chaired by Mr. Annas Raheel (Chairman, PGMEA), with the esteemed presence of Mr. Matloob Ahmed Qureshi (Senior Vice Chairman) and Mr. Atta-Ullah (Vice Chairman), along with members of the Executive Committee, former Chairmen, and esteemed members PGMEA. The session covered key aspects including global and regional PPE regulations, mandatory testing requirements for gloves and related PPE, certification pathways, conformity assessment procedures, and common compliance challenges, followed by an interactive Q&A discussion. Special emphasis was placed on compliant PPE—particularly gloves—to meet international regulatory requirements and maintain high quality and safety standards. The PGMEA Team extends its sincere appreciation to SGS Pakistan Pvt. Ltd., all participants, and speakers for their valuable contributions. The session was highly informative and engaging, focusing on strengthening compliance awareness, enhancing export readiness, and improving the global competitiveness of the industry.

A distinguished delegation from the International Trade Center – United Kingdom Trade Partnership Program (ITC-UKTP), comprising Mr. Andrea Santoni (Consulor Principal, ITC), Mr. David Gass (Managing Partner, ITC), and Mr. Abid Marwat (National Coordinator, ITC), visited the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PGMEA). The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Annas Raheel (Chairman, PGMEA) and Mr. Atta Ullah (Vice Chairman, PGMEA) and Mr. Usman Ismail Butt (Secretary General). During the meeting, Mr. Annas Raheel (Chairman PGMEA) provided a comprehensive briefing on the gloves industry in Pakistan, highlighting its potential, strengths, and export opportunities. Both sides expressed optimism about future collaboration with PGMEA looking forward to working closely with ITC-UKTP to further strengthen Pakistan’s glove industry and enhance its global competitiveness.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been executed between the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PGMEA). The MOU was signed by Mr. Muhammad Aamir Jan, Executive Director of NAVTTC, and Mr. Annas Raheel, the Chairman of PGMEA, on January 14, 2025, at the NAVTTC office in Islamabad.

Mr. Qasim Mehmood Sadhra, Chairman Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association, met with Mr. Muhammad Naeem Ansari, National Coordinator for Enterprises Support, at the PGMEA office. During the meeting, Mr. Chairman discussed strategies to increase awareness of International Labour Organization projects and enhance the productivity of small businesses in accordance with international labor and environmental standards.

Mr. Qasim Mehmood Sadhra, Chairman Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association held a meeting with Mr. Hamid Khalid Latif, CEO of Tti Testing Laboratories, at the PGMEA office. During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Cleaner Production Center (CPC) and TTI Testing Laboratory was renewed. The event was attended by members of the Executive Committee as well as Former Chairmen of the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association.

Mr. Qasim Mehmood Sadhra, Chairman of the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association, held a constructive meeting with Mr. Qaiser Mehmood, Manager Asian Verification at PGMEA office. The primary focus of the meeting was to ensure the provision of top-notch services to the members of the Pakistan Gloves Manufacturers & Exporters Association and to establish competitive testing rates for their benefit.
